History: Right over here. She's not one of the narrating characters, but the basic plot of the books is there.
Personality: Diana is introduced as a spot of sunlight in the bleakness provided by the rural Massachusetts town of New Salem. Willowy with an easy grace that’s almost inhuman, she is the quintessential popular high school girl, beloved by most of her classmates. Of the ten teenagers who inhabit Crowhaven Road, she is easily the most approachable, and is respected for her kindness and generosity rather than fear of passed down stories and the possibility that she may harm one of her classmates.
Before she was a year old, Diana’s mother was killed in a hurricane that swept across the coast of Massachusetts, and she was raised by her father, Charles Meade. By the time she is a teenager her house is often empty, as Charles spends most of his time working. She takes it upon herself to fill up the yellow Victorian with laughter and light, hosting pizza parties and sleepovers on weekends and meetings of the Circle on the beach behind the row of houses on Crowhaven Road.
She values simplicity and comfort, perhaps more than other members of the Circle. Her bedroom is more practical and old-fashioned than most, and she often wears simple jewelry and no crystals or amulets, unlike her cousin Faye, who is positively decked out with star rubies.
When she is ten or eleven years old, Diana finds her family’s Book of Shadows. The other children of Crowhaven Road form a shaky coven of sorts and as they begin to translate and transcribe the spells and rituals, Diana is elected as a temporary coven leader. Though not the eldest member, she adapts to the role well, as she has been caring for her father, in some capacity, since she was very small. Spending nearly four years looking out for the interests of nine other fledgling magic users has helped to shape and amplify the beyond-her-years teenager who Cassie idolizes from afar. She taught herself to think about the good of the group, rather than her own ambitions or wishes regarding the use of her powers. But since there is a ‘think of the group’ mentality in most everything she does, her sometimes misplaced trust and ability to believe the best of anyone can cause disruptions among the people she is attempting to protect, and indirectly lead to danger that could have been easily avoided otherwise.
She wears her emotions on her sleeve, in as much as she possibly can without revealing the truth of her abilities as a blood witch to the rest of the town, and is particularly drawn to people she feels could use her help or protection in some way – even if that person is not a member of her coven or not magical-blooded. She is protective of her friends, and will assume that all of them have the same desire to be truthful and loyal to her, as she is to them.
Her blind trust in the good natures of the people she surrounds herself often borders on naivety, so much so that it’s almost comical how unaware she is of the betrayal of confidence which is going on around her. In New Salem, her best friend Cassie, and her boyfriend Adam do their best to conceal their attraction for one another, deciding not to tell that they’re in love because the other option would hurt Diana and she is too “good” to deserve that sort of betrayal. But in attempting to keep her friendship and trust, Cassie steals many of her belongings and inadvertently sets in motion a chain of events which lead to several murders and the resurrection of an evil warlock.
Her coven allies include Adam, Melanie and Laurel, and she appears to represent the brightness and goodwill of nature magic, juxtaposed against her cousin Faye, who is talented in dark and destructive magic and wishes to use the Circle’s power to her own advantage. Diana believes that all of the witches are capable of great magic, but is cautious about wielding it, made obvious by her careful handling of the crystal skull and her reluctance to draw its magic out before she or Adam can search for more information on its use.
Most of the spells Diana uses are household charms, or simple scrying spells, though it is implied she’s one of the more powerful witches in the Crowhaven coven, and she is at her most powerful when protecting others, especially when they are outnumbered, or outclassed. Though she prefers not to lead through fear or domination, she will exert her power as leader when she feels someone is being harmed, as she does with Faye’s treatment of Cassie, and outsiders like Jeffrey and Sally. She has a keen sense of right and wrong, and ultimately her moral compass will dictate her loyalty in any particular situation.
Powers/Abilities: Diana is something akin to a water witch: all of her power comes through, and is amplified by the four elements. She is even stronger when combining her magic with someone else’s, particularly a member of her coven and prefers to work in a group, rather than alone. Most of her spells are household-related, and involve the gathering of charged stones and candles, and rhyming incantations. She can bend elements to her will, and is particularly skilled in magic which involves invoking astrological elements. Naturally, water is the element which comes easily to her, as the one which Faye is most attuned to is fire.
Diana has a chalcedony rose, a small piece of stone associated with good luck and shielding the person who carries it. In canon she's given it to her boyfriend as protection, but it has been returned to her and she keeps it in her pocket most of the time.
Appearance: Everything about Diana screams sunlight and goodness, including her appearance. She’s tall with pale skin, long, straight blonde hair and green eyes which are probably her most remarkable features, as they're talked about by the series’ narrator a lot. A lot. Her clothing is well-made and probably tailored, usually in muted colors and her style tends toward classic and elegant more than trendy (which is probably a good thing cause ... it's 1992, lbh).

Game You’re Transferring CR from: Teleios!
How has your character changed from their canon self? Coming back to Teleios, Diana will have a mildly better understanding of how things work, although she didn't spend enough time with Faye or Deb during her initial stay to grasp that they're all from radically different points in time - and hasn't yet begun to blame herself for the havoc that the artifacts are going to wreak on the town. But she will. She so will This time, she will have gone home from the cleansing ceremony with the crystal skull before being sucked back into the city.
Are they gaining any abilities from their time in game? Did the game setting take something from them? Her family's Book of Shadows and her abilities are still missing, but the Meade house is located on the lake shore, a gift from the Agents she received days before she disappeared the last time.

Prose Sample: There’s something about beaches and bonfires. She doesn’t have the heart to be annoyed – Diana rarely does – especially considering how often the Circle meets here, and sets their own fires. There must be dozens upon dozens of wax pools just beneath the sand at this point. She stands two steps away from the shore, leaning against a wooden railing and considering her options. Briefly, she wishes Cassie or Laurel were around to help her. The knapsack full of herbs and crystals feels heavy and warm against her hip.
But soon, she squares her shoulders, and looks again toward a lonely stretch of shoreline that the merriment doesn’t seem to quite reach. That will do nicely.
The moon reflects off of the water just enough to light Diana’s path, though she murmurs quietly to herself in a mix of ancient Greek and Latin as she walks, then again as she forms the open circle in the sand, anchoring it with candles meant to stand in for direction, and the elements.
That’s when the fireworks begin.
